Sale week!

It's getting close to the end of class and that means final project time.  Unfortunately, it seems that I misjudged the time it would take (again!) and I've been frantically trying to get the coding all pulled together.  I'm down to one last section but I left the most difficult for the last and it's not going all that well.  Instead of working on bags, I've been working on code.  Even though I'm not listing the bags I'm currently working on, I'm still trying to finish at least one a week.  And if I don't get at least one done, then it's sale time!

Use coupon code MAY2016 for 20% off any bag currently listed in the shop!  Good through May 30th!

No new bag this week...but custom orders are available!

I applied to show at the SDCC art show again this year but I waited a bit too long.  My plans for the summer made it so I wasn't available to set up when needed so I hadn't even considered the possibility.  And then in a somewhat random conversation, I found a way to make it happen.  A bit too late as it turns out but I am on the waitlist and have been told that there is still a good chance that I will make it in.  So on the chance that a spot will open up, I have decided to focus on getting ready for the show.  If a spot doesn't become available, then I will have a big update ready for late July!

To compensate for no new bags being listed in my shop, I decided to make custom orders officially available.  I've always been willing to take on custom orders but haven't advertised it.  Now, the shop happily tells everyone that they are possible.  =)  I have 26 different outer fabric colors to choose from, probably close to 100 different thread colors and several shops nearby if I don't have quite the right color, and many shops to find the right lining.  I have at least 15 different fonts ready to go for each of the three styles of bags and can create new files as requested.

Grey and silver d20

This week's bag is the last in the set I had prepared earlier this year.  This pic shows that first d20 I made and the latest one.  =)  The grey and black one holds most of the dice I have on hand so it's always close by when it's time to take pics.

Blue-green d20 dice bag

As might be obvious by now, I really like shot taffeta.  I think it adds interest to the bag and looks more like my favorite dice.  The ones that are a color one way and white or black the other are more subtle but the ones that are two distinct colors are more difficult to match.  The thread color could be either color or something completely different.  Linings can be a challenge as well.  But this week's bag came together perfectly.  The lining works so well with this fabric, almost as if it was made just to go with this taffeta.  The thread doesn't match either color but blends in.  Overall, it's one of the more subtle bags I've made and yet the colors involved really can't be considered subtle.
