Finished socks!

I finished the socks for Mom and Dad!  Mom's were such a quick and easy knit that they were great fun after working on Dad's.  Good to know that sometimes a quick project is possible since I tend to go for the crazy complicated ones.  Unfortunately, I kept forgetting to take pics during the day so the lighting was terrible when I had to take these in order to get them sent off the next day.

Dad's socks were interesting.  I had never done intarsia before and this was the first time I knit socks without a pattern.  It was an excellent challenge and I'm so glad Dad gave me the push to try it.  He said he wanted argyle socks and I couldn't find a pattern so I just went with it.  I really like the way they turned out.  Not quite the way I had planned but I like it.

I picked up my sweater again - got both sleeves done and started on the hood - when a baby shower invitation came in.  Well, I couldn't resist the temptation to knit something so I started that.  This sweater will get done someday!
