Knitting break

I know I need to get that baby blanket done but it's been harder and harder to knit on it.  Not exactly sure why because I think it's fun to see the progress and it's not hard to knit but the enthusiasm has been lacking.

So when my parents were in town this past weekend, I had Dad try on a sock that has been done since September.  I thought I had the gauge all wrong and it was going to be too baggy so I didn't want to make the second one until I had the sizing figured out.  Well, Dad said it was good the way it was so I got started on the second sock.  I think this is just the break from that blanket that I needed.  It's been moving so fast!  The knitting on these isn't exactly normal so it's hard to say how far along I am but I think it's about a third of the way done in only two days!  (The pic is of the finished sock because the in progress one just looks weird and has needles sticking out all over.)
