The lines printed on the fabric are printed on grain. When it was wound on the bolt, the grain was so skewed that this looked like a straight cut at the store. Good thing I use small pieces and can still make this work. I've had some pretty crazy cuts before but I'm more used to working with large pieces of fabric and there's more wiggle room when dealing with five, or more, yards rather than a quarter yard.
